Google Launches New Keyword Tool

Google has launched a new, beta version of its existing Adwords Keyword Research Tool for testing.

The original Keyword Tool by Google allowed users to find data relating to the number of monthly searches, either local or global, that were carried out for any given keyword.

The Keyword Tool would also analyse web pages, and provide suggestions for keywords, based on the content of the page.

The New Keyword Tool

Although the new Keyword Tool still carries out the same functions, it also provides some additional data, such as search trends, and is accessible via a brand new interface.

The screenshot below shows the options panel of the new tool, where you can select the language, and country, that you’d like data for.

New Results Format

The screenshot below shows the results you’ll receive for the keywords you’d enter. Data is provided for Adwords competition, global searches, local searches, and search trends. Additional information can be obtained by logging in with your Adwords account.
